Goodness me, is it really July already? I keep waiting for VISTA to have a quiet time, but it never seems to happen! We are 9 rides into the season and our new Rides Co-ordinator Yvette is doing a grand job of juggling the balance between Pilots and Stokers, we have new members in both categories this season so welcome Karen and Tim Wade, Ian, Mairi, Marianne (AKA Maz), Steph, Laura, Adrian and Alistair. Great to see so many new faces riding with us.
The Rides committee met recently to help sort out wrinkles that have happened in the season so far, the new Taxi system is bedding in well and also the new back up car arrangement, both will be monitored. The Rides committee have also been discussing updating some of our equipment
and maybe buying a new bike to cope with increased demand.
Charges and membership fees remain the same for 2011-2012. Plus the new £2 taxi charge if used. Please can all members, riding and social, make sure their subscription fees are paid for this year.

The Godiva Awakes project continues, with another training day under the belt and the next one due in August.
The training days consist of a 'spin' class on static bikes, training planning, team building and projectupdates.
We have been asked to take helmets next time as we will be trying out the prototype rig that will be towing the large Lady Godiva moving model all the way to London. I will keep you posted about the project and the VISTA contingent.

SOCIAL DIARY DATES
Tuesday 20th September - Skittles evening at Westwood Club to include some food. Cost not yet sorted.
Thursday 20th October - Curry Night. Cost not yet decided.
Thursday 10th November - Quiz Night at the Centre. Cost £1.50 for members £2.00 for non members.
Wednesday 7th December - Christmas Get Together - hopefully a Musical one. Cost not yet decided.
