BEER
AND SKITTLES EVENING - May 2005

Thursday 19 May 2005 saw another of our very popular Beer and Skittle evenings held at the Charter House club. We had invited the R P Society to join us and we made up five teams each of six or seven people. We all had two goes on the skittle alley and two turns on the bar skittles. We broke mid-time for a fish and chip supper, which everyone enjoyed. Scores were calculated on an average basis to eliminate the varying number of people in the teams .The winning team turned out to be RP 1 – what happened to VISTA? |

When we first arrived at the Charter House it was still daylight – normally it’s dark when we arrive - and we could see a good number of people competing in a crown green bowling competition. This is one of the future events planned for VISTA (crown green bowling, I mean) and it will be on Wednesday 22 June, so make a note in your diaries now!
