A short early season ride to the Three horse shoes Bubbenhall 15th April 2008
On a cold evening punctuated with downpours of rain and drizzle, 3 tandems set off at 6.45pm with pilots Brian Fawcus, Kevin Davitt, and myself with VI’s Philip King, Richard Boetang and Brian Thomas. Unfortunately Gary Sharp had to cancel and another 2 pilots didn’t show. This left 3 VI’s without a ride, newcomer Majid Hussian, Joseph Mc Farlane and Stuart Berry. Dave Franklin and newcomer Jenny Latham rode solo. Not forgetting Keith in the backup car. The ride was a short spin to Bubbenhall, just enough to get warmed up before a pint. Then up past the riding school and a steep hill before descending into Bagington. Back through Finham and with the last light of the day it was almost pleasant! We made it back to the clubhouse for 8.30pm, ready for a hot drink!
Eric Selby and Keviv Davitt were playing with Kevin's toy helmet camera during the Monks Kirby ride on 10th June 2008 - see the video!
