VISTA ANNUAL DINNER 2007

The VISTA annual dinner this year was held on 24 March 2007 and was attended by 32 members. This number was down on last year as several members had other commitments, however those who did attend had a very enjoyable evening.
Trish, Jean and Lorraine worked like slaves in the Resource Centre kitchen all afternoon to give us a splendid meal at 6.30.
A choice of two soups, followed by chicken in honey and mustard sauce with vegetables, sausage casserole with vegetables or chicken curry with rice and naan bread was on the menu. After this we had yet another choice, this time sweets, trifle, apple pie or fresh fruit salad.
Whilst we were sitting back digesting this feast, our chairman, Dave Franklin, spoke to us for a few minutes about the forthcoming activities.
Unfortunately Jackie Adams had been unable to make it to the dinner so our President, Eric Sayce, was elected to present the John Adams shield to the person showing the most outstanding support to the club during 2006. This year the shield was given to Dave Franklin. Following the presentation the meal continued with cheese and biscuits and coffee and the raffle was drawn.
Everyone said how much they had enjoyed the meal and the evening as a whole. Many thanks to all who worked in various forms to make it so successful.
